St John's Church, Reapsmoor

Originally built as a barn, before being converted into a workhouse and then a school, the church is upstairs with the old school-room below.  Its lofty position and large clear windows afford wonderful views over the surrounding fields.

Although small, the congregation of this special and unique church is every welcoming.

We generally don't meet for worship here during the coldest months of the year, but in summer it is a wonderful place to worship God!

Planning your visit:

  • services usually take place on the 4th Sunday of each month, but check the rota (see 'downloads')

  • services are normally from Common Worship

  • the church is not generally open during the day

  • there is no lavatory

  • there is a good-sized car park

  • there is a full flight of stone steps to the front door, which is at first-floor level

  • the post code for Sat Nav is:  SK17 0LG
